This really could have been a disaster!
Grandpa will not let a sleeping dog lie. Instead of reading the clearly marked lighting instructions of the BBQ, (light with the lid closed, hold the ignition button down, only turn on one burner) Grandpa held his face to the grill listening for gas as he pushed the button.

Can you believe this? Thank God his eyes were closed. Grandpa doesn't need his nose hairs trimmed anymore! Look at those eyebrows.
I still die laughing whenever I look at these

Oh My Gosh!! That is the scaryest thing I have ever seen that didn't actually burn flesh! I must admit that I did get a good chuckle from it! They must have written those instructions just for your Dad!
ReplyDeleteI showed these to the people in my safety meeting at work this morning! I have never seen them laugh so hard! :-)

Let's hope your pork ribs turned out better than Dad's eyebrows.
ReplyDeleteYIKES! I thought I was the only person in the world to do weird things like that. I think that me and grandpa would get along nicely, although we might need an adult present to keep us both safe.
ReplyDeleteHe looks like a nicely toasted marshmellow. It was a shock to see that and I didn't laugh at all. Very scary!!
ReplyDeleteI guess you had to be there.
ReplyDeleteI love the second picture! So funny! I'm glad he didn't get really hurt!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! I hate when that type of thing happens. But, it's always good when one can laugh at it afterward . . . when everything turns out alright . . . LOL!
