The Beatles, Hey Jude

This is one of my top ten favorite songs. I will be listing the rest of my top ten in other posts.

I remember hearing this song on the radio as a little girl of 6, in 1968. My parents were hip! It has a timeless melody written by Paul McCartney. But as always, the "Lennon/ McCartney" tag was credited as co-writers.

This song was written for Julian "Jules" Lennon, to comfort him during his parents divorce, and was originally called "Hey Jules". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hey_Jude for more info on this amazing record.

Jordan and I went to the King's Singers at Abravanel Hall earlier this year and they sang this song and EVERYONE , young and old was singing the chorus. When we got on Trax, there was this older couple getting on with us who complimented me on my singing! I wondered how the knew it was me, but looking at this picture, I can see that two foxy ladies clicking the camera a jillion times makes an impression!
