The Lawrence Welk Show: Tijuana Taxi

I remember as I was growing up spending many a Saturday evening watching Lawrence Welk on television at my grandparents house. I also remember my dad was hooked on it too. I used to tease him, because I thought he was too young to like that old fogie music. But, even I would admit it was mesmerizing. Then we would watch Hee Haw. I post about that one later.

Oh my heck. We used to watch Lawrence Welk and Hee Haw too. My favorite was Bobby and Sissy. (I think that was their names. They were married.) My sister used to sing, "Good Night, Sleep Tight don't let the bed bugs bite..." every night to me. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Hey, do you remember the organ salesmen that used to play the organ in the doorways of their stores at the mall? That little organ snipet reminded me of that.

Simple and good times for sure!
